Exploring Life & Business with Sara Beth Raab of SB Events

I was thrilled to be asked to share a bit of my story with the folks at Memphis Voyager magazine.

Thinking back and telling the complete story of where I've been and how far I've come was a wonderful experience in gratitude.

You can read the complete article below.

One thing that’s come easily has been the relationships. I’ve been incredibly lucky to maintain deep connections with clients, vendors, and collaborators over my two decades in the field.

The Art of Turning Engagement into Profits - sponsored by Vendelux

I was selected to be part of a panel discussion on the topic of Turning Engagement into Profits, sponsored by Vendulux. One of the questions I loved was:

“Sara Beth – You’re a big advocate of inclusive experiences that appeal to sober, neurodivergent, and introverted audiences...groups that often get overlooked when planning launch parties, pop-ups, or even corporate events. Some might argue that considering these demographics is catering too much to a small portion of the audience pool.”

I just love this question, and here’s why:

All accommodations are is removing barriers to connection.

If your audience is masking, they are not connecting. (Period.)

When you take the time (in marketing or pre-event surveys) to ask questions about special needs, you’re uncovering what barriers exist, and then removing them so your attendees can show up fully engaged with less anxiety.

The result? More authentic engagement. And yes, potentially better ROI or profits through the event engagement.

There’s a real pain point here, so let's stop treating inclusion like a niche add-on.

It’s a strategy. A smart one.

"If your guests are MASKING, they are not CONNECTING.

2025 Event Food & Beverage Trends

When BizBash explored the top 10 food and beverage trends to watch in 2025, they asked event leaders across the country to weigh in.

In a world that’s still finding its way back to connection, I spoke about the return of family-style dining as more than just a trend, it’s a reminder of what it means to gather meaningfully. Shared meals spark shared moments, and thoughtful planning creates space for both.

At SB Events, every detail—down to how a meal is served—is thoughtfully orchestrated to create space for human-centered impact.

“It seems the pandemic has reignited our desire for connection, and this style of dining—a stark contrast to COVID-era restrictions—reminds us of the joy in sharing a moment of togetherness.”

Top 40 Under 40 Event Professionals

I’m honored to be named one of BizBash’s 2023 Top 40 Under 40 Event Professionals—a national recognition that celebrates innovation, impact, and leadership in the events industry.

At SB Events, I believe in creating experiences that are thoughtfully orchestrated and rooted in purpose. This recognition reflects my commitment to combining warm precision with elevated impact, leading with strategic serenity, and crafting moments that feel both soulful and sophisticated.

I’m grateful for this acknowledgment and even more grateful for the meaningful work I get to do alongside mission-driven clients.

...one of my proudest moments was when one of the second-shift event coordinators came on-site at a tournament and announced, “I don’t know what to do because everything is so organized.”...
